How it works

A simple, careful way to check a health claim.

  1. Enter

Type or paste one health claim, like a message you saw online.

  2. Check

We compare your words with claims that our team has reviewed and approved.

  3. Understand

You see the result, a simple explanation, and links to reliable sources.

The three results

TRUE

Reviewed evidence supports the claim. We explain only what the evidence shows. A TRUE result does not mean something is safe or works for everyone.

FALSE

Reviewed evidence does not support the claim. We explain what is misleading and, where we can, what reliable evidence says instead.

UNVERIFIED

We could not verify the claim. This is a normal and important result. It does not mean the claim is true or false.

How we stay careful

  • We only show TRUE or FALSE for claims that our team approved and that have reliable sources.
  • One matching word is never enough. Your claim must be very close to a reviewed claim.
  • Words that change the meaning, like “not”, “only” or “always”, must match too.
  • If two reviewed entries disagree, we say UNVERIFIED.
  • Claims that are still being researched are never shown as TRUE or FALSE.

Common questions

No. It compares the words in your claim with entries in a database that people have reviewed. It does not guess or write new answers.

Our database is small and grows slowly, because each claim is reviewed carefully. If we have not reviewed a claim yet, we say UNVERIFIED instead of guessing.

No. This website is for learning only. It cannot tell you if a treatment is right for you. Always ask a doctor.

No. We do not store the claims you check. We only save messages you send us on the Feedback page. Read the Privacy page for details.

Use the Feedback page and choose "Suggest a claim to review". Please do not include names or private health details.
